Being Cheery

So sorry – its been cancelled…

the post below inviting you to the local Christmas Party has been cancelled – so sorry. David and Maureen have had some sad news and its all a bit late to transfer elsewhere…

Please feel free to email info@ballarateast.net us to pick up any donations you had for BADGAR. We wish David and Maureen well and hope that  we can have a Happy New Years party sometime soon.

Bring a Pav?

Okay we investigated closing the road to have a street party, but it was going to be a bit expensive. Figured that you didn’t want to to it illegally, well who wants to be in jail on Christmas Day… Well not unless it was worth it…

So locals David & Maureen have decided to open their front and back yards for a bit of a street party in the Fussell Street area. If you are a subscriber or live locally you are invited to come and chat all things neighbourhood character…

David and Maureen will set up two gazebos in the front drive and people can wander around their beautiful garden, sit amongst the trees or along their ‘creek’ to chat about all things Ballarat East. Those that might want to stay longer can bring a picnic tea and would be welcome to play games on their backyard soccer pitch.

If you would like to come please RSVP to info@ballarateast.net and we will give you some more details. Its an old school deal, so bring all you need, bring something to entertain if you can, and come and meet your neighbours and friends.

We will have a few speeches, very few, we will also be collecting old sheets, towels and unscented tissues for our friends at BADGAR, so bring anything you have to donate.
