The Forest Needs you…

809 Wilson St will go to vote at Council Meeting this week. Wednesday 27th March 7pm at the Town Hall…

The Council officers have written a great report stating clearly why the development should be denied.
Unfortunately it’s come a bit late and the developers have applied to VCAT.
Therefore this council meeting will be deciding on the position at the VCAT hearing.

Quote:
“The purpose of this report is to determine Council’s position at the upcoming VCAT hearing. It is recommended that Council not support the application at the upcoming hearing on grounds of insufficient stormwater treatment information, native vegetation impact and koala habitat impact. ”

Read the entire report here : http://ballarateast.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=2bf81546384bb5591a304b343&id=59a4cb6b68&e=989b61641e

We need you to attend the meeting to show your support for the council officers position and let the Councillors know that the officers recommendation is the right one. Lets not leave them in any doubt that this development, if allowed to go ahead, will impact heavily on our koala population (the one protected by the Koala Overlay). It will also impact heavily on the Canadian State Forest which lies adjacent to this land.

If you would like to speak at the council meeting you will need to register by 4.30pm on the day of a Council Meeting by contacting the City of Ballarat Governance Unit on (03) 5320 5535. No unregistered public representative will be allowed to speak.
