A comment about comments…

Hello wonderful Easties and supporters,

Just wanted to let you know how comments are posted, what the etiquette is and what gets edited. Please post any questions as comments below for a full public discussion.

  1. Comments are moderated. That means each and every comment is read by BE Net before it is posted. We are a volunteer, informal group and sometimes this takes a bit longer than we would like.
  2. Comments considered defamatory or abusive are not published. These are deleted.
  3. Comments which are considered to be attacking a person and not an issue are edited and the authors asked if they are prepared for the edited post to be published.
  4. Comments should be accompanied by at least your first name, we are all in this together.

We would love to say its common sense but as common sense is not very common we take an ‘err on the side of caution’ approach and hope you understand this.

We encourage people to comment from their experience (what you know to be true), from their hearts (its good to be passionate about this area) and from their knowledge. We do not encourage posts that attack a person, rather we encourage full and open discussion of issues, places and things in a respectful manner.

Thanks so much for your encouragement, your help and support. It’s not easy to run a website and your contributions make it worthwhile to continue. Please send in your concerns, your pictures and your stories to info@ballarateast.net

With thanks

Erin

Spokesperson for Ballarat East Network (BE Net)
