- Listing of current developments in the works (residents contributions facilitated)
- The Future or What Happens next?
Great that this meeting is happening so that we can discuss and share the issues that we feel passionate about in our area. I feel that it will be really important to voice the way we want the area to develop and especially the way we don’t want it to develop. We can only do that by letting our representatives know that we won’t accept the mass subdivisions that have already begun to happen and will only continue if we don’t speak up. There’s no turning back if it’s allowed to continue.
I just wonder, what is the definition of Ballarat East and do we need to start with that? Call me old-fashioned, but to me anything on this side of the creek is Ballarat East – including Golden Point and Mt Pleasant and Brown Hill. Of course the issues raised by the BE Network will probably be relevant and transferable to other places – how to go to VCAT etc, but I’d love to know others thoughts about just where Ballarat East starts and ends. Is it just the rural-y Canadian/Eureka sort of area we’re talking? All of Ballarat East is famous for its big blocks. Count me in! from Golden Point.
