East Wildlife

We love to show off the best of the East, please keep sending your pictures in of anything that shows off what you love about the East (send to info@ballarateast.net) These images are from a local who says:
“Not the best photos – would rather look at the real thing anyway! Crimson Rosella in the garden and a couple of Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos at dusk.  A flock of 77 Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos flew over soon after this picture was taken. One of the many beautiful sights in the East!”

“I got some photos of the pair of Galahs guarding their nest, the hollow in a dead tree in ‘the East’.  Homes are important in the east and we need to balance the need for new homes with the need to preserve the character of the existing homes such as this one providing shelter for this little family.”
