New Yellow Sign
Hello dear Easties,
first sighted today was the following yellow sign in Fussell Street. PLEASE NOTE DUE DATE IS 17th May (this Thursday)
No details yet just notice, awareness and vigilance, make sure you check it out at the council for your own peace-of-mind. Details are:
DEVELOPMENT NUMBER: PLP/2011/931
DEVELOPER: Robert Hall & Assocs.
SITE: 35 Fussell Street, Ballarat East
PROPOSAL: Self-Storage unit and Caretakers Dwelling
COMMENT DUE: 17th May 2012
Checked out the plans, its for a huge self-storage business to cover most of the huge block, with a small office out the front. The trees marked in the application look good but its not a landscape plan. Popped in my suggestion by email to plant more trees particularly on Fussell Street…
Thanks Kaye, we’ll get some details on the one in Ryan st and publish it here.
Signs have to go up to advertise the proposed development, if council deems it necessary, and at least 14 days.

Hi Ballarat East Network. New Yellow Peril spotted in Ryan St (old melb rd end) also of interest a large allotment has been purchased in same street almost opposite yellow peril, of great worry is the fact that the large allotment which has been sold has some very very old and huge gum trees which should not be cut down, but the ground has been subdivided into lots,so I am worried that there may be some moonscaping, may be worth close surveillance. Regards Kaye
oh what a beautiful spot.
I thought those yellow notices had to go up 14 days before the closing date for objections. They do in Geelong.
I think the applicant also has to sign a stat dec saying they put them up too.
