Ballarat East Allotment Maps now Online

Great news for map lovers, heritage lovers and East lovers… and a great reason to loose a few hours ‘looking at stuff’… Thanks to the residents and friends who drew our attention to this, especially Edith & Amy!

We are excited to announce that PROV (Public Records Office Victoria) the Ballarat and Ballarat East Town Allotment maps have been digitised. (series VPRS 4771).

These maps are now available for viewing by you, online from the comfort and convenience of your own personal computer.

Access Ballarat Town Allotment maps

  • To access maps and locate those of interest to you, please use the ‘search within a series’ function.
  • Enter VPRS 4771 in the series field and a keyword for the area you are looking for, for example ‘Chinese gardens’. You will receive results that relate to your keyword search.
  • You will then be prompted to download a PDF of the map required, select open in Adobe Reader to view or save the map.
