Bike Strategy – Needs your feedback

Dear Residents,

RE: City of ballarat DRAFT bike strategy

open for comment

Staying active and participating in physical activity has major effect over the health and wellbeing of all of us. The ability to provide infrastructure and programs to develop and promote physical activity for the people of Ballarat is a key goal of the current Council.

As with all Sport and Recreation and physical activity it is essential that strategic planning and direction take place to guide future infrastructure development. On 12 February 2014, Council resolved to exhibit a draft Bike Strategy for public comment.

I am writing to you encouraging you to provide feedback on the Strategy in order to for it to represent the requirements of all areas of the community.

If you wish to discuss any element of the Bike Strategy, I encourage you to contact me via email or phone. Additionally written submissions are highly encouraged with all submissions to be sent to the below listed email.

The Draft Bike Strategy can be found on the City of Ballarat webpage at http://www.ballarat.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay then click on Ballarat Bike Strategy.

Please provide your feedback via email to the below address by 14 March 2014.

I look forward to your involvement in the development and refinement of this important document as the Council continues to develop and provide recreational and sporting pursuits for the people of Ballarat.

Yours truly,

Lukas Carey
