Mediations doubled

There are two mediations on next week that we are aware of. Remember that you have a right to make a submission about any development up until the time a decision is made by Council officers about the development.

Mediations are organised by the City as a way to get parties together to talk about the proposal in the hope of creating a better outcome, and to avoid going to VCAT if at all possible. Developers are invited, people who have put in a submission about the development are invited and it is facilitated by a council planning officer.

So come prepared to share your ideas, point out particular elements of the planning scheme which allow or disallow the development, and also come with some solutions e.g. what would you like to see happen). When we come prepared it makes for interesting conversations about what is possible rather than what is not.
