“There were a small crowed very proud crowd I must say, to what and why I called a meeting. However it was side tracked by the media a litte. The meeting was about awareness of the permit for demolition of all but one building on the site. The community, residents and former residents have signed a petition to save more buildings. Our petition was table by the council last council meeting by Brett Edgington and by Belinda Coates as council member. At the council meeting I asked for an extended time for the date close for submission which the council granted. We now until the 20th of May. This is a very good outcome as it gives us a little more time for former residents living outside of Ballarat, interstate and for some overseas to lodge a submission.
Great news to there are many networks in Ballarat who are also very supportive Voice99.9 FM Radio , BE Net and I’m sure there are a lot of others too. “
